Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Patrimonial damage to the municipality of Solidaridad has been found. After a year-long audit, more than 248.4 million pesos is said unaccounted for during the previous administration.
On Saturday, Solidaridad Mayor Lili Campos Miranda reported that the Superior Audit of the Federation determined that the previous administration, headed by Laura Beristain, incurred patrimonial damage.
The money missing is said to total 248,430,388 pesos of federal resources from the 2021 fiscal year.
Campos explained that the last administration accredited the budget for the January to October 2021 fiscal year when the administration was about to conclude. Campos says with the finished audit findings, the corresponding complaint will be presented to the Comptroller’s Office and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
