Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Municipal police responded to the report of an armed robbery Friday night in the Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. Police interviewed employees who indicated that moments before, a subject entered the premises and threatened them with a firearm.
They said the subject got away with 4,000 peso in cash and escaped in a white truck that was heading toward 30th Avenue for which Municipal Police began a search.
They were successful in quickly locating the truck, which they stopped. Inside were two men, both of whom were taken into police custody. The arrested are identified as Arbey N from Cancun and Alejandro N from Yucatan.
The pair were arrested by Municipal Police who also seized their firearm and a bulletproof vest.
