Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Municipal police manning a filter in west Playa del Carmen arrested three found with drugs and guns. The arrest was made Monday during a routine inspection at Filter 3 along the Playa del Carmen-El Tintal highway.
The Municipal Citizen Security of Solidaridad reported that inspecting officers located 21 bags of drugs and two loaded handguns in their vehicle. All three, identified as being out-of-state males, were arrested from the police filter as they entered the municipality.
In a statement, the SSC (Seguridad Ciudadana Solidaridad) said “the Municipal Citizen Security Secretariat of Solidaridad arrested three male persons, seizing two handguns, a magazine, four cartridges, 21 doses of possible narcotics and a van at filter 3, located on the Playa del Carmen-El Tintal highway.

“The detainees are Jesús Alberto “N”, 32 years old, originally from Puebla, Nero “N”, 41 years old, originally from Tabasco, and Rick Antonio “N”, 26 years old, from Veracruz, after the van in which they were traveling was speeding and changing lanes.
“After the review, they were arrested and placed at the disposal of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Drug Dealing for the corresponding legal purposes.”
