Playa del Carmen, Q. R. — Civil Protection elements attended to the call of a small crocodile seen at Punta Esmeralda beach in Playa del Carmen.
The reptile was spotted sunbathing in shallow waters of the cenote along the beach. Several members of Civil Protection arrived to retrieve the crocodile from the water and relocate it away from the populated area.
Profepa agents also helped in the release of the reptile to a safer place.
