Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Six people found inside a state-seized home have been jailed for breaking and entering. On Sunday, patrolling Solidaridad police in the Misión del Carmen subdivision noticed the door open and crime tape broken.
Outside the house were two parked pickup trucks with various items of furniture in the back. Police questioned those inside who claimed they had permission to remove the furniture, however, police verified that the home was under civil forfeiture and no one had been given authorization to enter the home or remove items from inside.
Agents of the Preventive Police proceeded to arrest all six on B & E charges. In the beds of the pickups, police found the group had removed a refrigerator, washing machine, bed base and mattress, among other furniture items.
Pedro “N”, 51, Frida “N”, 34 and Gustavo “N”, 36 all from Quintana Roo, were arrested from the house along with Ángel “N”, 35 from Mexico City, 30-year-old Maibe “N” from Michoacán and 50-year-old Jorge “N” from Chiapas.
