Bacalar, Q.R. — Two people from inside an SUV were taken to hospital after rolling their vehicle. Emergency responders found the private vehicle on its side Wednesday morning in a single vehicle crash.
Elements of the National Guard Highways diverted traffic around the scene, which due to the time of day, did not heavily affect area residents. The driver was traveling a section of Bacalar highway when, according to reports, he lost control and rolled due to excessive speed.
Firemen were also at the scene. Two people from inside the SUV were taken to hospital with undisclosed injures. Other motorists using the highway were directed around the scene for about an hour until the vehicle was finally towed.
