Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The driver of a Playa del Carmen mototaxi died in hospital Friday. The 21-year-old driver was killed after being shot by another PDC mototaxi driver.
The now-deceased driver was traveling in the residential area of Villas del Sol in the extreme west of the city Thursday evening when he was shot. According to witnesses reports, he was shot by another mototaxi driver who fired once before fleeing.
The injured man was rushed to hospital but died Friday afternoon. He has been identified as David “C”. Police continue the search for the shooter.
