San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León — A tractor trailer driver created a fair amount of highway chaos Saturday after he jackknifed his unit on an overpass. The unidentified semi driver managed to crash his full-length unit through an overpass guard rail, leaving the cab hanging over traffic below.
The accident was reported on an inner city overpass in San Nicolás de los Garza in the state of Nuevo León. Despite the spectacular nature of the accident, the driver managed to leave the unit unharmed.
The cab, which was dangling from a height of about 6 meters, was completely destroyed. Traffic was cut off for several hours while authorities dealt with the issue.
