Cinco, Sinaloa — Elements of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) arrested a man found with 2.6 million fentanyl pills. The arrest took place September 1 on the Mexico International Highway (15) near the town of Cinco.
The bags of pills were discovered stuffed-hidden in various exterior parts of the semi trailer unit he was driving. The pills were found with the help of a narcotics dog who marked the vehicle positive for an illegal substance.
During inspection, authorities found the pills “secured inside metal rails of the lower structure of a Federal Public Service tractor-trailer in which the driver, Alfonso “B”, was arrested.”
During their search, they found dozens of clear plastic bags that contained around 2.6 million fentanyl pills. Semi driver Alfonso “B” was detained and transferred to the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) in Los Mochis, Sinaloa to face charges.
