Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police make a second arrest and successful link in a Playa del Carmen stabbing death. The Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo reports prosecutors in the municipality of Solidaridad were successful in linking Jovin R to the crime of qualified homicide in the killing of a man in the In House subdivision.
The FGE says the events occurred November 24, 2019 in the settlement known as In House, where Jovin R in the company of Ángel A, the latter of whom has already been linked to process for the same crime, caused injuries with a knife that deprived the victim of his life. The pair then moved the body of the deceased, leaving him in the Bellavista neighborhood.
A judge has ruled that both men will be held in preventative detention as a precautionary measure during their trial.
