Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police continue to search for the driver of a car responsible for the hit and run death of a pedestrian. On Sunday night, a man was killed after being struck by a vehicle along the Federal 307 highway just south of Playa del Carmen.
Elements of the Municipal Police and National Guard were sent to the scene of the accident where they located the dead body of an adult male in the center of the highway.
City cameras show a car traveling south to north hit the man but failed to stop. The driver of the car involved in the deadly accident has not yet been located.
