Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A resident from the Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen reported finding two backpacks which appeared to contain human remains. A call was made to emergency 911.
Municipal police were sent to the scene along 92 Street and 15 Avenue to confirm the discovery. At least two backpacks were located. The area was closed off while investigating officers were called in.
Police did not confirm if the discovery was that of human remains, nor did they comment if the bags were that of one or more people.
