Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A subject was detained by police officers from the Solidaridad Municipal Police after he was found in possession of several bags of drugs. Arresting police officers reported the detention of the 39-year-old man in the Villamar II subdivision of Playa del Carmen.
He was taken into police custody after being found with several bags of marijuana, along with one bag of cocaine and another substance that was undetermined. The arrest happened when police responded to the report of a woman who had called, saying she had been verbally assaulted by a man.
Responding officers say when they arrived, they found the man several blocks later. A search of the man accused of the verbal assault revealed the bags of drugs. Police noted that the detained is from the state of Puebla.
