Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A driver from the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río taxi union in Playa del Carmen was taken into police custody Sunday after a check revealed an outstanding arrest warrant.
The taxi driver was stopped by police officers from the Public Security of Solidaridad in a random police inspection filter. The 38-year-old driver was asked for identification. While processing his information, police were alerted to his outstanding arrest warrant by the State Attorney General’s Office for sexual abuse.
