Riviera Maya, Q.R. — Through APIQROO in Seatrade Cruise Global 2023, the state of Quintana Roo has promoted its infrastructure ability to receive millions of cruise visitors.
Since Quintana Roo is the main arrival cruise ship arrival destination in Latin America, and to promote the ports with their natural beauties as well as boost the growth of the sector, the General Director of the Integral Port Administration of Quintana Roo (APIQROO), Vagner Elbiorn Vega, participated in the Seatrade Cruise Global 2023 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The official cutting of the inaugural ribbon was headed by Manuel Fernández and Rodolfo Barrón, CEO and Director of Operations of Cruceros SSA México, respectively, along with the Mexican Consul in Miami, Jonathan Chaid.
Vagner Elbiorn said that Quintana Roo is a world benchmark in the cruise sector, therefore, the importance of its participation in Seatrade Cruise Global 2023 is important since it includes more than 170 expert speakers and 500 suppliers from countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Puerto Rico.
He explained that Seatrade Cruise Global is the leading event for companies and organizations that seek or do business with the international cruise industry and who have access to specific products to facilitate decision-making in this sector.
During this summit, attention will be given to the segments of travel, cruise lines, ships, gastronomy, equipment, safety technology, entertainment, the environment and health, which is why Quintana Roo is a benchmark in the arrival of millions of cruise ship passengers.
With this participation, the state also seeks meetings of all sectors of society to discuss, listen, make proposals and build joint solutions on the problems of the state in order to lay the foundations for a fairer development between government, society and the market.
