Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man accused of threatening a mom and pop shop employee with a knife for the day’s cash has been caught. On Monday, Municipal Police arrested a subject accused of threatening a person with a knife and stealing merchandise and money from a store in the El Edén subdivision.
Preventive Police were carrying out a tour of CTM Avenue and Cacatúas Street when they were hailed by a person for help. She said that moments before, a subject had entered the store where she works and tried to take merchandise without paying.
She also said that after demanding payment for the products he had, he threatened her with a knife and took all the money from the day’s sale. The young store worker was able to provide a physical description of the man.
Seguridad Pública Solidaridad Police reported that “with the characteristics provided, Yosmar “N”, 22 years old, originally from Tabasco, was located and arrested.”
