Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Elements of Public Security have stepped up patrols in the face of the current health contingency in remote areas of Playa del Carmen.
The increase in patrols is meant to not only deter crime, but also ensure residents comply with the current health measures implemented around the municipality.
Commander Jorge Robles Aguilar, head of the Ministry of Public Security for Solidaridad explained “we cover the entire municipality. We redouble our efforts to bring security to the most remote areas, and due to the contingency, municipal police officers dialogue with the inhabitants, asking them about their state of health, provide preventive information, distribute face masks and invite them to take care and stay at home to avoid contagions.”
Patrols have been increased in the areas of Cristo Rey, Las Torres, In House, Los Sauces, Jacinto Canek, Los Faisanes, Valle de la Primavera, Vida and Esperanza as well as the surroundings of the delegation from Puerto Aventuras.
In this way, under strict hygiene measures, elements of the Ministry of Public Security increase their efforts in order to collaborate in the containment of infections.
