Police serve warrant for Playa del Carmen armed robbery

Playa del Carmen, Q. R. — A Playa del Carmen man wanted for armed robbery has been served an arrest warrant. Adrián “N” was arrested Wednesday for the July 2023 armed robbery of a neighborhood convenience store.

The man, who was armed with a knife, made off with more than 10,000 pesos in cash.

According to an official FGE statement, Adrián “N” was arrested for aggravated robbery for the July 30, 2023 armed theft from a central Playa del Carmen store. He is reported to have approached the cashier, wielding a knife and demanding money.

After his arrest, Adrián “N” was admitted to the Municipal Detention Center, where he was notified of the arrest warrant for aggravated robbery, the FGE reported.
