Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Elements of the Ministry of Public Security and Municipal Transit of Solidaridad assured a subject in possession of crack cocaine. Authorities report the arrest was achieved during a search operation after the now detained collided with a patrol unit and fled aboard a vehicle in the Ejidal neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.
According to their report, around 22:20 hours on June 23, Municipal Police received the report to locate a Nissan that had collided with a patrol truck in the vicinity of the Ejido neighborhood. The fleeing driver was located in the vehicle on 12th Street and 130th Avenue of Ejido.
Upon seeing police, he attempted to outrun them, but was intercepted. During his arrest, he was found in possession of 30 street doses of crack cocaine. The unidentified male was arrested and his drugs and vehicle seized.
