Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A noon shooting along Playa del Carmen’s central Fifth Avenue sent one man to hospital. A called in to Emergency 9-1-1 had police in the area between 34th and 38th Street North in the city center Thursday.
Police were quick to arrive and able to make an arrest. One male was taken into custody from the scene. He is alleged to be the shooter. Police have not released his identity.
His target, a male, was hit by a bullet, but not seriously wounded. The injured man was taken to Playa del Carmen hospital by ambulance for treatment.
