Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police have not released details surrounding the discovery of a dead body inside a central PDC apartment Monday. However, according to available information, the body found by the building cleaning staff was that of a man.
Police were notified of their discovery Monday morning inside a condo on 38th Street in the Gonzalo Guerrero neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. When staff entered the apartment, they found the man laying on his bed.
Paramedics from Civil Protection confirmed the man was dead at the scene. Police began an investigation due to circumstances found inside the apartment. The body was found bloodied and broken glass located on the floor, signs of a possible assault.
The man is reported to have been a resident of the building and not a tourist.
