Neighbors on Flor de Nochebuena Street alerted police to the smell from inside a barbershop that had been closed for several days. Inside, Municipal Police officers discovered the body in an advanced state of decomposition.

Police and judicial authorities blocked the street from Avenida Solidaridad to the entrance to Palmas II to cordon off the area. Residents who had their vehicles on the street were unable to leave since Palma Parasol and Flor de Nochebuena streets and Avenida Solidaridad were also cordoned off.

The Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) vehicle and assigned personnel removed the body from the building. Authorities have not released any information on the person they found inside.
