Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Residents in the northern community of Balam Tun reported the sounds gunfire early Monday afternoon. Police responding to the report found two bullet holes in the facade of a newly established barber shop along Ave. Xcalacoco.
Residents detailed that subjects aboard a car fired at the barber shop around 12:50 p.m. on at least two occasions. Police found the glass door of the shop had been blown out and a second bullet hole lodged in concrete, generating only material damage.
No injuries were reported. The shop is part of a newly created commercial area along Ave. Xcalacoco.
