Costa Maya, Q.R. — A company cargo truck ended up completely destroyed after rolling on a section of Costa Maya highway. State police were at the scene Friday were they located the destroyed cab and heavily damaged box.
The afternoon mishap is being blamed on a speeding driver who was transferred to hospital after suffering injuries in the single-unit crash.
Police were sent to the accident scene after motorists began reporting the 2:30 p.m. crash. They found the vehicle in two separate pieces on a roadway that leads to the town of Mahahual.
The driver is reported to be in stable condition. The pieces were eventually towed to a Chetumal corral.
