Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A Playa del Carmen woman was shot and killed Thursday by a subject in a motorcycle taxi. The shooting happened in the La Guadalupana subdivision in the city’s far northwest.
Witnesses to the Thursday afternoon murder detailed seeing the woman walking along Brasil Street when she was intercepted by the mototaxi from where a man gout out and shot her repeatedly.
Police arrived and began a search for the mototaxi and shooter, but were unsuccessful. Paramedics confirmed the woman dead at the scene. She has not been identified.
