Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) has suspended the Telcel Customer Service center at Centro Maya in Playa del Carmen.
According to the report, Cofepris inspectors went to the Telcel location after a customer complaint who claimed several on-site Telcel customer service agents were exhibiting signs of covid. Health inspectors responded to the claim, inspecting the office.
Once there, Cofepris health officials also detected some on-site staff who appeared to have symptoms. They also noted a lack of hygienic protocols in respect to the current orange epidemiological light. The office has been temporarily suspended.
