Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The body of a man wearing a Lázaro Cárdenas del Río taxi uniform was found shot to death in the Marseille II neighborhood of Playa del Carmen.
The man’s body was discovered Monday afternoon along the roadway that leads to the city’s sanitary landfill. He was left on the side of the dirt road. Reports say the body was already in a state of decomposition, making it difficult to identify.
The deceased man was discovered by the owner of the land around 4:00 p.m. He called police who arrived and taped off the area for an investigation. The man was said to have one bullet wound to his head. Forensic personnel were called to remove the body.
