Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man who was shot twice in the Colosio area of Playa del Carmen has died. José N, a city taxi driver, was shot and killed around 8:15 p.m. outside his home Thursday.
Neighbors who witnessed the shooting reported seeing the man and his wife sitting outside when a motorcycle approached and began firing. He was hit in the head and shoulder.
He was rushed to a Playa del Carmen hospital by ambulance where he died shortly afterward. Police were not successful in locating the motorcycle.
