Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Bagged remains of a human body was found Sunday morning in the Mision del Carmen subdivision of Playa del Carmen. The finding was made by residents of Mision de las Espadas Street who called 911.
Municipal Police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area after verifying the finding. Paratially inside a black garbage bag was the head of an adult male. A majority of the head was laying on the street. A large piece of cardboard was left at the base of the head.
Forensic personnel along with elements from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) carried out the procedures to remove the head from the street. Authorities have not commented on the finding or an identification of the victim.
