Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A dismembered body was found left on a trash can in Playa del Carmen Monday. The discovery was made at the intersection of 15th Avenue and 60th Street in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood.
The black bags were found tied together on top of a residential garbage can around 6:30 a.m. by a resident who went to throw out their own garbage. Police were called to verify the finding.
Municipal Police cordoned off several surrounding roads in and out of the area while they collected evidence. Officials have not said if the body is male or female or possible on a missing persons list.
