Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Playa del Carmen taxi drivers reported a dead body on 38th Avenue to police early Saturday morning. The young male was seen laying in the center of the avenue fully clothed around 5:00 a.m.
Taxi drivers passing along 38th Avenue made the report to Emergency 9-1-1 after seeing the late 20-something-year-old man laying on his back. Police responding to the report of the dead body arrived to find him alive but passed out.
The area along 60th was sectioned off by police to prevent the man from being run over. Paramedics were requested who evaluated the young male and realized he was only drunk and passed out. Paramedics woke him up from where he was arrested by police.
Solidaridad officers transferred him to the Public Security facilities to sleep it off.
