Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Police in Playa del Carmen have a hospitalized man under guard after he killed his landlady. City officers were called to an address on 2 Bis Street between 35th and 40th Avenues in the Centro neighborhood Friday afternoon.
At the scene, they found a dead woman and an injured man. The man, who allegedly killed the woman, attempted to kill himself. He was found by police with a neck wound and taken to hospital where he remains under police guard.
The unnamed man was reportedly a tenant of the now deceased woman. He was renting a room from her at the time of the incident. Authorities have not named those involved, nor have they provided details surrounding the murder of the man’s landlady.
