Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — After a chase through the streets of Centro Playa del Carmen, two subjects were taken into police custody for the possession of a firearm.
The chase took place around midnight when Tourist Police were conducting preventative patrolling and observed a suspicious vehicle. The driver, who refused to stop for police, gave chase.
Elements of the Ministry of Public Security and Solidaridad Transit arrested two subjects and secured a firearm with 6 cartridges at the end of the chase. The two arrested have only been identified as two males from the state of Guerrero.
They were detained and placed at the disposal of the corresponding authority.
