Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two Argentinean men were taken into custody from Playa del Carmen streets after being found with narcotics. They were also accused of trying to pay for a purchase with a stolen ATM card.
Municipal officers made the arrests Wednesday from the Colosio subdivison of the city.
Police took 37-year-old Luca “N” and 36-year-old Bruno “N” into custody after finding cocaine, pills and metamphetamine, among others. The pair were inspected by police after being reported as possible dealers by a citizen.
In a statement Thursday, the Seguridad Pública y Tránsito Solidaridad (SSP) reported “the Municipal Police arrested two subjects from Argentina in possession of possible drugs such as cocaine, pills and methamphetamine.
“In the Colosio neighborhood, Luca “N”, 37 years old and Bruno, 36 years old, both from Argentina, were seized along with a bag with a vegetable with the characteristics of marijuana, two bags with a substance similar to cocaine, nine with a substance to be determined, two with possible methamphetamine, three with pills, a laptop, five USBs and three cell phones.
“They were arrested after being pointed out by a citizen who said they were carrying possible drugs, in addition to allegedly trying to pay in an establishment with a bank card that did not belong to them.
“Both subjects and the possible narcotics were placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office for the corresponding purposes.”
