Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Given the sharp increase in Covid-19 cases, Playa del Carmen mayor Lili Campos, is asking people to reinforce the use of mouth masks. Campos says after months of low infection rates, the municipality is experiencing a sharp rise.
Municipal authorities report five hospitalized with moderate to severe covid-19, adding that during the previous week, positive infection figures doubled. Campos says in an initial batch, more than 30,000 covid-19 vaccines have been sent to the state of Quintana Roo, for which she urges people to continue with vaccinations.
