Playa del Carmen man stabs neighbor to death over heated car parking argument

Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A Playa del Carmen man remains in jail after being arrested Christmas day. The man was arrested by police early Sunday morning for the stabbing death of his neighbor.

The incident happened when the pair began to argue over a parked car. The man was having dinner when he noticed his neighbor park his car in front of his house. A confrontation between the two neighbors escalated into an argument that lead to the stabbing death of the man who owned the car.

Police were called to the Santa Fe home where they located three men involved in the altercation. One of the men, 38-year-old Rodrigo ‘N’ from Colombia, was with the man who parked the car in front of his neighbor’s house.

He was transferred to hospital for injuries received during the incident. The other man, 48-year-old Alfonso ‘N’ from Mexico City, was stabbed and died shortly after arriving at hospital. The third man involved, Rubén ‘N’, no age provided, was arrested. Police have not commented on charges.
