Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man remains in serious condition after he was ran over twice. The accident happened on 40th Street Wednesday morning when the construction worker was crossing Playa del Carmen Boulevard.
While doing so, he was struck by a truck whose driver did not stop. The man was thrown to the ground from the hit, where he was run over by an oncoming taxi. The driver of the taxi unit stopped.
Emergency medical services and police arrived to find the man underneath the car. Playa del Carmen firemen were called to the scene to lift the car so paramedics could remove the man. He was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
