Playa del Carmen, Q. R. — A Playa del Carmen man riding a triciclo was killed Tuesday night. The unidentified man died after he was struck by a PDC taxi. The accident happened at 20th Avenue and CTM.
According to witnesses, the man was struck on his triciclo by the taxi while attempting to cross the roadway. Although the driver of the cab tried to stop, the wet pavement caused him to skid.
Responding paramedics pronounced the man on scene. The taxi driver was arrested and remains in police custody.
