Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A large section of the Bosque Real neighborhood of Playa del Carmen was sectioned off by police Tuesday due to an operation. Authorities from the FGE seized an undisclosed amount of narcotics and firearms from inside a private home. They also seized the house.
According to reports, five people were taken into police custody from inside the house. At least two loaded guns were located along with ammo and a variety of narcotics.
During the search operation, agents were escorted by the National Guard, Municipal Police and the Army and Navy, who make up the Coordination Group for the Construction of Peace and Security in Quintana Roo.
