Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Firemen in Playa del Carmen responded to the report of a house fire Tuesday in Villas del Sol. Area residents made the call after seeing thick smoke emanating from a nearby side-by-side home.
Soldiaridad firemen arrived with the assistance of Civil Protection personnel who evacuated nearby residents due to the size and intensity of the fire. Firemen worked to save the home but were not able.
The small two bedroom house was completely destroyed by flames. According to the Secretaría de Protección Civil, Prevención of Riesgos and Bomberos of Solidaridad, although an ambulance was called, there were no injuries reported.
Civil Protection continue to work with firemen to determine an exact cause of the fire.
