Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Playa del Carmen firemen had their hands full Tuesday when a city courier truck caught fire under a busy overpass. PDC firemen were on scene with municipal police to control traffic and extinguish the burning vehicle.
The fire happened Tuesday morning under the 4th Street overpass while the delivery van was being driven. Smoke and subsequent flames were quick to shoot out of the engine. The driver of the courier company escaped unharmed.
The causes of the fire is still being investigated.
