Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A citizen was arrested by Playa del Carmen police after he was seen driving recklessly in a pickup truck outfitted with police strobe lights.
It was police themselves who happened upon the man in the vicinity of Colonia Centro. Although he was seen driving recklessly, police also made the arrest for the possible commission of the crime of usurpation of functions to the public service.
Municipal police discovered the speeding man and his strobe lights circulating through Playa del Carmen streets during the early morning hours of Saturday. He was detained and his Quintana Roo-plated truck seized.
