Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Playa del Carmen firemen were able to fully put out another brush fire west of the city. The fire was reported Saturday between the towns of Los Pajaros and Los Girasoles in the municipality.
One truck with three men on board attended to the Saturday afternoon brush blaze that was quickly put out. The fire started in dry vegetation along the side of the road and made its way into the deep brush.
Those attending the fire did not speculate how it started, only that the fire was reported to emergency 9-1-1, at which time they responded.
“As a result of a timely and effective response, our firefighters extinguished a forest fire that broke out near the towns of Los Pajaros and Los Girasoles.
“The emergency services’ prompt intervention prevented the fire from spreading and ensured the safety of residents. Your safety is our priority. Call 911,” said Bomberos Playa del Carmen.
