Cancun, Q.R. — A crash between an ADO bus and private truck sent two to hospital in serious condition. The accident happened just before midnight along a stretch of Cancun-Merida highway.
Preliminary reports say the driver of the ADO bus made contact with the old-model Nissan that was traveling the highway without lights. The bus had departed Cancun and was headed for Merida at the time of the accident.
Two people from inside the small pickup were transferred to hospital. The impact caused the pickup to leave the highway. It was found in a crumpled metal heap in the ditch.
Paramedics responding to the accident did not report any injured from aboard the bus.
