Isla Mujeres, Q.R. — The municipal government of Isla Mujeres has created a pet-friendly crosswalk at Kilometer 1 of the highway across from the island’s pet friendly beach.
Zofemat director Kerem Pinto Aguilar, indicated that the purpose of the crosswalk is to ensure the integrity of those who go with their pets to the beach. She also called on drivers to reduce their speed in those areas.
Pinto Aguilar said that the beach has regulated hours of service, closing and opening for greater safety to visitors and pets, noting they offer constant maintenance to ensure a quality, clean and safe space for those who visit.
