Bacalar, Q.R. — A man left laying on a Bacalar road died after being struck by a vehicle. The hit and run was reported Thursday by witness motorists.
Emergency personnel found the 50-year-male laying off to the side of the road. By the time paramedics arrived, he was dead. The accident happened on Avenida 19 in the town of Bacalar.
Motorists who witnessed the hit and run said the man was a pedestrian attempting to cross the street when he was struck. The driver of the private vehicle that hit him did not stop.
The victim has been identified as Salomón “V”, 50. Due to the rain and darkness of night, motorists were unable to provide a relevant description of the private car or its driver.
