Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A pedestrian has reportedly died after being struck by a taxi while crossing a boulevard near the Playa del Carmen taxi union.
The accident was recorded around 6:00 a.m. when a driver from the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río union hit an adult male, who has not been identified. According to witnesses, the man appeared to be in a state of intoxication and crossed the boulevard without caution, which is when he was struck by the oncoming taxi.
An ambulance was called, however, the man died on scene.
