Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A severe fall while installing an antenna killed a Playa del Carmen worker Saturday. The man was installing an antenna on top of a private home when the support he was standing on gave way.
The unidentified worker fell from an undisclosed height from the top of the tower onto the roof of the house below. A coworker helping to install the antenna called for an ambulance. Paramedics confirmed the worker was dead.
Municipal Police were called in due to the death. The accident happed on a private home in La Guadalupana in northwest Playa del Carmen. The worker was installing the Internet antenna on the top of a home on Del Carmen Avenue around noon when the accident happened.
