Alma Gabriela Arroyo Angulo, the Executive Secretariat for Anti-Corruption of the State of Quintana Roo (Sesaeqroo), says the “citizen reporting website” will soon be up and running.

Arroyo Angulo, the Secretaría Ejecutiva Anticorrupción del Estado de Quintana Roo (Sesaeqroo), made the announcement Wednesday afternoon after signing a collaboration agreement with Mayor Estefanía Mercado.

She said that the website be the first of its kind in the state to allow public complaints for acts of corruption. The local site will be integrated with the national anti-corruption website to facilitate the prevention, detection and punishment of all acts in this area.

She said the objective of Sesaeqroo is for the website to be implemented in all municipalities of Quintanan Roo during 2025, adding that municipal internal control bodies will need sufficient technological capacity to implement and manage the website, which is why it will be rolled out gradually across the state.

Arroyo Angulo explained that the internal control bodies of the municipalities will be responsible for keeping the site operational and for providing the facilities for citizens to submit their complaints.
