Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A city of Playa del Carmen taxi driver was shot dead Saturday night. He unidentified driver was shot several times in the head while on 10th Avenue.
Municipal police located the dead taxi driver inside his unit on 10th Avenue and 14th Street in the center of Playa del Carmen. Preliminary reports say a lone male armed with a handgun ran toward the taxi driver’s door where he opened fire.
Paramedics were called to the scene, but the taxi driver was already dead. Police have not released any official information regarding the city’s latest shooting.
